
The Alberta Federation of Labour (AFL) is the leading voice for working Albertans, representing 26 affiliated trade unions and over 170,000 unionized workers across Alberta. The AFL fights to defend and advance the rights of working people, and we mobilize Albertans to affect change through collective action.
Executive Officers

The leadership of the Alberta Federation of Labour is elected every two years by delegates at the AFL Constitutional Convention.
Affiliates

The Alberta Federation of Labour’s affiliates are public sector and private sector unions, as well as the labour councils of several municipalities across the province.
Staff

The work of the Alberta Federation of Labour is supported by a team of eight, full-time, unionized staff in Edmonton and Calgary.
