Ironworkers Local 720 Union Hall
We are looking forward to seeing you at the 35th Anniversary December 6th Commemorative Event for the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women on Friday, December 6, 2024.
This event is an opportunity to remember those who lost their lives in 1989, highlight the gains made on the issue of violence, and remind us that much more needs to be done to end violence in our homes, workplaces, communities, and society. We can bring about change by working together, in partnership with our allies, and by lobbying politicians for the implementation of the necessary policy, and social changes.
It’ll be a day of ceremony honouring our sisters whose futures were cut short 35 years ago at the Polytechnique MontrĂ©al and all of those who have suffered and passed since, workshops, guest speakers, and discussions to address gender-based equity issues.
Tickets are sold out and registration has now closed. If you have held tickets previously but have not yet submitted your names, please email lhall@afl.org.
All proceeds will go to the AFL Women’s Equity Caucus.
Lunch is catered by Mercer’s Catering.
All genders are welcome!
