Demand investment in post-secondary education

Post-secondary education is being eroded and becoming out of reach for many Albertans.

Over the last four years the Alberta government has cut more than $500 million in funding to post-secondary schools and lifted a tuition freeze that resulted in a 21% across-the-board tuition increase. They’ve also raised interest rates on student loans.

To attract new industries, we need our world-class workforce. But young people are leaving Alberta for opportunities elsewhere.

If we want our best and brightest to stay and build a better future here in Alberta, then we need to make sure they have the world-class education they need to reach their full potential.

We can make Alberta a place of opportunity again, but we need a government that is focused on our future. That means focusing on education.
