We have to make sure our MLAs work to get inflation under control, ban price gouging and tax excess profits.
The cost of living is soaring – and they have done nothing to fix it.
Our government is letting big, profitable corporations get away with price gouging on groceries while giving nothing back to hard-working Albertans. Wealthy executives shouldn’t be allowed to profit more while we suffer through hard times. Our province needs a plan to tackle inflation, ban price gouging and tax excess profits.
They need to make life more affordable, instead of allowing the cost of living to spiral out of control.
Let’s demand better:
- Get inflation under control.
- Ban price gouging and tax excess profits.
- Tie wages to inflation with cost-of-living adjustments in employment contracts.
- Make it easier for workers to join a union with single-step certification.
