Furniture warehouse to support Ukrainian newcomers opened by IBB 146 & UCC-APC

Ukrainian Canadian Congress – Alberta Provincial Council is proud to announce that a furniture warehouse is opening up to help support Ukrainian Newcomers fleeing the war to Edmonton. An extraordinary thank you goes out to the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Lodge 146 for donating this warehouse and allowing our Ukrainian community to collect and distribute furniture from their warehouse.

All furniture will be reviewed and must be in good condition, no rips, and no tears. We will be collecting tables, chairs, stools, couches, beds and mattresses (with no stains, no bedbugs). Please note, that you should be able to unload your furniture donations, as currently there is no assistance with loading/unloading items. Please schedule delivery of items prior to the drop-off. The address of the warehouse is 15330 – 114 Avenue, Edmonton, AB.

Hours of operations: Tuesday and Thursday 18:00-20:00 p.m. and weekends 12:00 p.m. to 16:00 p.m. If you would like to sign up for volunteering opportunities at the center: https://signup.com/go/UONCsJa

Thank you to the President of the Canadian Society of Ukrainians from the former Yugoslavia, Ilija Simcisin for taking the responsibility to lead the warehouse project and thank you Lev Rinhel for helping to organize and coordinate the project.
